ResidentialA3 Weekly Sessions, 2.5 hours per session
$145

In this class, you will learn to make beautiful fine silver jewelry pieces without expensive metal-working tools! Art Clay Silver is made from silver particles recycled from film negatives and held together with a clay-like binder. When fired in a kiln or under a butane torch, the clay burns away leaving you with a 99.9% pure silver piece. Become familiar with the different types of clay with classroom samples of paper, paste, and syringe clay. Learn the tricks to cork clay and bisque bead bases. You'll also learn to repair fired and un-fired silver clay. Mixed media pieces will be discussed. For ages 16 and up.

Included in the class fee: 20g of Art Clay Silver, styrene roller and work surface, clay tools, paint brush, and air tight containers to keep
your clay moist.

No previous experience necessary. This class uses clay working techniques.
